This morning in Malabo, Central Africa is experiencing a decisive moment.
Three major events will shape the coming weeks: the Experts’ Meeting (August 24–26), the Ministerial Meeting (August 29), and the high point—the Heads of State Summit on September 10, 2025.

At the heart of the agenda: the Central African Pipeline System (CAPS), presented by CABEF. Approved as part of the PREF-CEMAC (CEMAC Economic and Financial Reform Program), CAPS embodies the ambition to equip the sub-region with an integrated network of oil and gas pipelines to connect member states, facilitate trade, reduce logistical costs, and create the conditions for local industrialization.

More than just an infrastructure project, CAPS symbolizes CEMAC’s unity and energy sovereignty.

This week, experts are analyzing the technical, economic, and environmental dimensions. Ministers will then deliberate on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)—a crucial step toward the actual implementation of the pipeline.
CABEF hails this process as a concrete illustration of CEMAC countries’ commitment to move beyond rhetoric and build a shared future. By validating CAPS, member states will affirm their determination to turn Central Africa’s energy potential into a driver of shared prosperity.

The road to regional integration is still long, but the momentum now underway paves the way for a stronger, more resilient, and more connected Central Africa.

History may be written in Malabo.
Stay tuned: an exclusive breakdown of these meetings will be shared by CABEF.
